ONE of the stands at the Camrose will have a new name for the 2014-15 season after David Wilson Homes signed up to become a major sponsor of Basingstoke Town.

Either the Town End or Clubhouse End of the ground will be known as the David Wilson Homes End as part of the deal, which runs for the next two seasons.

Basingstoke Town's head of marketing, Simon Hood, said: "This is a crucial move in terms of strengthening relationships with neighbouring businesses – and they don’t get any bigger than David Wilson Homes.

“It’s an excellent opportunity to expand our commercial activities and raise the profile of the club still further, throughout the town and further afield. I am delighted to be welcoming David Wilson Homes to The Camrose.”

As part of the partnership, David Wilson Homes will give Basingstoke’s younger supporters the opportunity to help name their new Popley development.

Rob Allen, sales director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: "We are always looking for ways to increase our links within the communities we are helping to build – and this is the perfect chance to do that.

“The potential to grow local support for this excellent football club is there for all to see – and we are looking forward to becoming a part of some exciting times over the coming seasons.”
