Overton A make history with league title triumph

OVERTON A have been crowned mixed Basingstoke and District Tennis League Division One title for the first time.

They completed their season by beating Totally Tennis A 6-2, Odiham A 8-0 and drawing with Old Basing A.

Their team of Mark Swinscoe/Lucy Taylor and Shaun McDonald/Zoe Taylor having remained unbeaten all season.

Second spot went to the newly promoted Preston Candover A’s Steve Grove/Jenny Murphy and Charlie Carter/Catherine Payne who also finished on a winning note beating Odiham A 8-0.

Other results saw Old Basing A beat Odiham A 8-0 and Totally Tennis A completed their fixtures with a 5-3 success against RSF A with a maximum from David Munt and Emma Barnes.
