OLD Basing A have taken control of the Basingstoke and District Tennis League Men's Division One after they opened up a five point gap at the top of the table.

They beat both Overton A and Andover B 8-0 following these up with an excellent 5-3 win over closest rivals Kingsclere A. Jamie Thomas and James Chamberlain being unbeaten in all the matches.

The Kingsclere team of Daniel Cole/Steve Mills and Rob King/Paul Rattue won 8-0 against Totally Tennis A. Beechdown A beat Oakley A 6-2.

RSF A made it four wins out of four in Division Two after a 6-2 win at Odiham A and then beat Hampshire Court A 8-0.

Waverley A moved up into second place after wins against RSF B 6-2 and Kingsclere B 7-1 with Jeff Watson/Tony Vanderslott winning all their sets against Kingsclere. Hampshire Court A won 5-3 at RSF B.

Totally Tennis B maintained top spot of Division Three with 8-0 wins against BDH and Goodworth Clatford B. Tim Rice/Rex Groves and Steve Kilgannon/Fabian Ronchi made up their team against BDH.

Beechdown B are in second place after a 5-3 win at Hook, thanks to a maximum from Matt Deadman/Jonathan Duggan.

Old Basing B moved up to third place with 6-2 wins against BDH and Goodworth Clatford B 6-2 and 7-1 over Overton B. Andrew Mountford/Mark Hammond being unbeaten against Overton.

A maximum from Lynch and Ridgers gave Odiham A a 6-2 win against Overton B. The Overton team also drew with Waverley B and beat BDH 5-3 thanks to a maximum from Eric McCann/Drew Robinson.

Mortimer A have moved to the top of Division Four after a 7-1 win at Oakley C, Andrew Richardson/Nick Harris winning their sets and a 6-2 success at Winchester B.

They also secured a close 5-3 win at Hartley Wintney. Winchester B won 7-1 at Oakley C with Peter Bernie/Andy Shepherd being unbeaten but then slipped up 6-2 at Oakley C.

Nathen Brooks/Keith Longman won all their sets for Beechdown C in a 6-2 win against Oakley C and the Beechdown team then went onto win 5-3 at Aldermaston B.

THE final two matches for the top three teams in the Basingstoke and District Tennis League Ladies Division One are set to decide the title as they top three teams are only separated by just two points.

Andover continue to lead after a 5-3 win against Goodworth Clatford A and a draw with Hampshire Court.

Second placed Oakley A could only draw with Overton thanks to a maximum from Jenny Rust/Paula Wiseman. The Overton team also drew with Aldermaston who had Nikki Lines/Karen McKenzie to thank for their point.

Clare Munns/Andrea Butcher secured another maximum to help Beechdown A beat Old Basing A 5-3.

Odiham A have all but won Division Two after an 8-0 win at RSF thanks to their team of Helen Osgerby/Leahney Golesworthy and Sue Cockroft/Veronica Pulleyn. A point from their final match would seal the title. Aldermaston B beat Winchester B 7-1 with Nikki Lines/Margaret Flemington being unbeaten, Mortimer 8-0 and they also drew at Preston Candover. Winchester B beat Mortimer 6-2.

A maximum from Judith Mole/Catherine Payne gave Preston Candover a 7-1 win at Mortimer.

The Odiham B team also have a title in their sights as they sit on top of Division three after five straight wins. Their latest success was 8-0 at Beechdown C thanks to their team of Emma Barnes/Alison Blades and Meryl Paterson/Aimee Paterson.

Second placed Goodworth Clatford B drew with Totally Tennis B with Jacqui Black/Amy Wigham winning all their sets for the Totally Tennis team.

The Beechdown B team of Joanna Ward/Ali Coughlan and Ali Porter/Julie Keefe beat Old Basing B 8-0 and they also won 5-3 against Hampshire Court B. A maximum from Alex Nicholls/Maria Sanders gave the Hampshire Court team a 7-1 win at Whitchurch.

BEECHDOWN A have taken over at the top of the Basingstoke and District Tennis League Mixed Division One following wins against Goodworth Clatford 7-1, Old Basing A 5-3 and a draw with RSF A.

Second placed Andover made it three wins from three matches after a 7-1 results at RSF A and Beechdown A.

Totally Tennis A have won their last two matches 6-2 against Overton A, with Alberto Vinuales/Helen Judd being unbeaten and 5-3 over RSF A. Old Basing A won 5-3 at Goodworth Clatford.

Three teams Oakley A , Aldermaston A and Odiham A are on the same number of points at the top of Division Two.

Oakley B drew at Aldermaston B thanks to a maximum from Cory Sewhee/Paula Wiseman and they also drew with the Aldermaston A team.

David Burrell/Paula Wiseman also won all their sets in a 7-1 win against Mortimer A. Dave Bull/Karen McKenzie were unbeaten for Aldermaston A in their draw with Odiham A.

Mortimer A drew with Beechdown B but lost 6-2 at Overton B. Another draw in this division was between Beechdown B and Odiham A.

RSF B have been joined by Whitchurch at the top of Division Three. The two teams played each other and the match ended in a draw.

Whitchurch did beat Preston Candover 5-3 and Kingsclere 7-1 with Emma Longton/Luis Morris being unbeaten. They did lose though at Hampshire Court 6-2.

Preston Candover won for the first time this season 7-1 at Mortimer B with Richard and Judith Mole being unbeaten.

Hook still head Division Four after beating Odiham B 6-2 thanks to a maximum from Barbara Herneman/Steve Preston.
