KINGSCLERE A have regained the Basingstoke and District League Men’s Division One title with a match still to play.

Their title was confirmed after a 7-1 success against RSF A, with Dan Cole and Steve Mills getting a maximum.

Old Basing A moved up to second place after a 6-2 win at Beechdown A, with James Chamberlain and Jamie Thomas winning all of their sets.

Liam Hignett and Dylan Allenby-Ryan were unbeaten for Overton A in their 6-2 win at Waverley A, while Simon James and Simon Taylor did likewise for Totally Tennis A in their draw at Goodworth Clatford A.

Goodworth then beat Beechdown A 5-3.

Oakley A have moved to the top of Division Two following wins against RSF B (5-3), Old Basing B (6-2) and a draw at Winchester.

Kelvin Wilcox and Sam Brill secured a maximum for Oakley in the Old Basing match.

Andover B still have a 100 per cent record in second place after wins over Preston Candover (7-1) and Beechdown B (6-2).

Aldermaston A beat Beechdown B 5-3, but Preston Candover had mixed fortunes.

After going down 8-0 to Winchester, they beat Hook 8-0 thanks to their team of Torquill Jack/Richard Mole and Shaun Fennell/Steve Grove.

Kingsclere B have taken over at the top of Division Three following successes 6-2 against Mortimer A and Waverley B and a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Hampshire Court B.

Adam Price and David Giles won all their sets in the Mortimer match and Nigel Baker and George Vlismas did the same against Waverley.

Previous leaders Hampshire Court A won 8-0 against Waverley B and the match between Kingsclere and Hampshire Court is likely to decide the outcome of the title.

Mortimer A drew with Odiham A.

Division Four leaders Goodworth Clatford B dropped their first points of the season as they went down 7-1 at second-placed Totally Tennis B.

Alberto Vinvales and Steve Kilgannon were unbeaten for the home team, who now have the title in their own hands.

The Goodworth team did come back with an 8-0 win against Aldermaston B.

A Paul Saunders/Paul Bullivant maximum gave Sherborne a 5-3 win at Beechdown C and there were also 5-3 wins for Aldermaston B against Oakley B and Oakley C against Sherborne.
