BASINGSTOKE and District Tennis League Mixed Division One leaders Beechdown A gained a hard-earned point from a draw with Overton A thanks to a maximum from Chris Harrold/Steph Catlin.

The Overton team secured a second draw with a point in their match at Aldermaston A.

Sandie Benham/Phil Dixon and Penny Luke/Andrew Mountford gave Old Basing A an 8-0 success against Goodworth Clatford.

Goodworth Clatford then produced their own 8-0 score against Odiham A.

Oakley A are top of Division Two after a 5-3 win against RSF B, who then won 8-0 against Mortimer A in their next match thanks to the team of Kevin Still/Amanda Brundrett and Lax Mayani/Tracey Telford. Aldermaston B beat Preston Candover 6-2.

Oakley B are looking the team to beat in Division Three after two further 6-2 wins against Sherborne and Beechdown B.

Jenny Rust/Dave Burrell remained unbeaten in both matches.

A maximum from Lesley Flynn/Alex Miotto gave Sherborne a 5-3 win against Oakley C.

Miotto then teamed up with Barbara Irving to get the team a point from a draw at Beechdown B.

Sandra Harding/Mark Eastwood won all of their sets for Mortimer B in a 7-1 win against Oakley C, while Mortimer B drew with Totally Tennis B.

In Division Four, Beechdown C opened with three straight wins, 6-2 over Hampshire Court and Whitchurch and 8-0 against Odiham B.

Daryl Blair/Rachel Marchant and Keith Longman/Jo Kochli made up the team in the Overton match.

Nigel Baker/Daphne Snook were unbeaten for Kingsclere in their 6-2 win against Odiham B, as were Andy Small/Barbara Herneman for Hook in their draw with Whitchurch.

Teams of Simon Woodall/Carol Grant and Adam Fitzgerald/Jayne Crowley also gave Hampshire Court side an 8-0 triumph at Old Basing C.
