ODIHAM tennis ace Ryan Golesworthy is celebrating another highly successful season, winning five singles tournaments and two doubles tournaments without dropping a set.

The Robert May’s School pupil’s season started with victory in the Grade Three singles under-12 tournament at Maidenhead and he also added the under-14 doubles title with Jake Norris at the same event.

Next he travelled west, to the Bristol Junior Open and won the singles, then the doubles crown with top Welsh player Alexander Hamer.

Just a few days later, Golesworthy enjoyed more success at the Harpenden Junior Open.

Travelling to London for the Westway Open Tournament, Golesworthy won the under-12 event and also had a great run in the under-14 tournament.

Here he beat the number one seed, before losing to the second seed in the final.

Rounding off his season, the Odiham player’s won the Esher Open.

Other highlights for the talented 12-year-old included coming fourth on the Regional Tour Leaderboard and getting to the semi-finals of the doubles at the Grade Two National Tournament at Sutton.

Golesworthy also led Hampshire to the finals of the County Cup national tournament, where they finished second, and he won the National Aegon Team Tennis finals with Halton Tennis Club.
