THE senior team of the year award went to the men's first team at Basingstoke and Mid-Hants.
At the end of their second season in the British League, they earned promotion from division three to division two in 2007. This summer, they will take on many big city teams as they join the top 24 clubs in the UK.
Amateur Coach of the Year Billy Jewers who, for many years, competed for and managed the men's first team, now coaches many of its star performers.
His all-rounders spearheaded the team's success in 2007 and he said: "They're a young group who can still get better."
