Basingstoke and Deane Sports Awards 2007
Senior Official – Ken Littlejohns
IT OFTEN happens that parents become involved with clubs where their children are members.
So it was with Ken Littlejohns, the senior official award winner. He followed his three daughters from the local gymnastics club, where he was a coach, to Basingstoke and Mid-Hants Athletics Club in 1984.
While daughters Denise, Joanne and Anna have other priorities now, their dad has remained an athletics club stalwart.
He is a timekeeper at club and county events, both on the track and at cross-countries, while also helping with general club administration. He said he was "very pleased" to receive his award.
