LONDON Irish moved back to the top of the European Challenge Cup Pool One after a 43-41 victory over visiting Grenoble.

It was an excellent victory for the Exiles, who played the last 20 minutes with 14 men, after David Paice had been red carded.

The home side won the match thanks to two late tries from Andrew Fenby and Myles Dorrian.

There were also scores from Alex Lewington, Tom Guest, Geoff Cross and a penalty try, while Shane Geraghty kicked three penalties.

The Exiles led early on 12-0, but this was cancelled out by a brace of tries from Laurent Boucet.

The visitors went on to lead 27-20 at half-time and 41-31 with 10 minutes to go, thanks to further tries from Julien Caminati and Louis Marrou.

The French side also kicked four penalties two each for Caminati and James Hart, while Caminati also added a drop goal.

Irish can secure a top spot in the pool with victory in Italy against Rovigo on Saturday (kick-off 2pm).
