JAMES O’Connor scored all 22 points, as London Irish beat bottom side Worcester Warriors at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Exiles won the game 22-9, even if the score was level 6-6 at the break, after O’Connor and Chris Pennell traded penalties.
Aussie O’Connor then added three more penalties, before crossing the line for his first try for the club which he converted. This gave the home side a 22-6 lead.
Pennell kicked over a late penalty, but the Exiles were not to be denied a Premiership victory.
Irish take a break from the league on Saturday, when they entertain Portuguese side Lusitanos, in the Amlin Challenge Cup at the Madejski Stadium (kick-off 5pm).
