TADLEY Tigers returned to the bottom of the London Two South West table after losing 18-5 away at fellow strugglers Farnham.
The Tigers had claimed just their second win of the season a week earlier, moving above Farnham and giving their survival hopes a welcome shot in the arm, but they were brought back to earth with a bump on Saturday.
A penalty after just four minutes put Farnham ahead. A second kick doubled the lead and they added two tries before half-time to lead 18-0 at the break.
Tadley forced their way over for a late consolation try.
The result leaves Tadley bottom of the table, with 12 points between them and the safety line.
North Hampshire’s three Hampshire Two teams are all in the middle of a three-week break, while Aldermaston were forced to give hosts Harwell a walkover win in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship. They host Farnham Royal on Saturday.
