TADLEY Tigers claimed their third win of the season on Saturday, beating visiting Effingham and Leatherhead 20-13 to move off the bottom of the London Two South West table.
They had looked almost certain to be relegated, but the result means that they will be in with a real chance of staying up if they are able to win at bottom side Farnham on Saturday.
Chineham Lions remain second in Hampshire Two after beating fourth-placed Southampton 19-0 at May’s Bounty. Overton also won, beating bottom side Nomads 43-17, but Kingsclere were beaten 33-5 by table-topping Locksheath Pumas.
Aldermaston’s Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship game against Farnham Royal was postponed.
