CHINEHAM Lions suffered a narrow defeat in their top-of-the-table clash against Hampshire Two leaders Locksheath Pumas on Saturday.
The Lions picked up a losing bonus point after going down 17-15 away from home, slipping a place to third in the table as a result.
Overton RFC also lost, going down 12-8 away at local rivals Alresford, a result that leaves them sixth in the table going into the Christmas break.
Kingsclere RFC picked up five much-needed points after Aldershot and Fleet were unable to raise a side for their trip to the Fieldgate Centre. Despite this, Kingsclere remain ninth in the table.
Tadley Tigers went down 40-15 at home to high-flying London Cornish in London Two South West. They sit 11th in the table going into a tough trip to second-placed Winchester on Saturday.
Aldermaston RFC also suffered defeat, losing 31-0 at home to Berkshire Shire Hall in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship, not the ideal preparation for a trip to table-topping Crowthorne on Saturday.
