ALDERMASTON RFC fell to a second successive loss in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship, going down to a shock 22-19 defeat away at bottom side Berkshire Shire Hall.

The visitors trailed 22-0 at half-time and while they hit back after the break, with Ian Martin, Pete Loveland and Elliot Lowe all touching down to set up a nerve-jangling finale, Aldermaston were unable to get on terms.

They sit third in the table ahead of a trip to second-placed Crowthorne on Saturday.

Tadley Tigers’ woes continued as they lost 16-5 away at high-flying Effingham and Leatherhead in London Two South West.

Tadley have taken just one point from their first five matches but play Farnham, the only side below them, at Red Lane on Saturday.

North Hampshire’s three Hampshire Two clubs return to action this weekend. High-flying Chineham host Southampton, Overton are at home to bottom club Nomads and struggling Kingsclere face a visit from leaders Locksheath Pumas.
