TADLEY RFC returned to winning ways with an emphatic 78-0 victory over visiting Phoenix in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier.

The hosts ran in 12 tries and led 43-0 at the break before adding a further 35 points in the second half.

Charlie Cox scored twice, while Jake Cottrell, Chris Dennison, Craig Raymond, Adam Stanley, Gareth Cripps-Jones and Tom Bartlett were also among the scorers.

Chineham are up to fifth in the Hampshire Two table after maintaining their 100 per cent home record with a 27-14 victory over visiting Nomads.

Nomads led early on thanks to two penalties but captain Andy Reddy pulled three points back and James Floyd's solo run gave Chineham a 10-6 lead at half-time.

The second half began badly for the hosts, who had Luke Dyer sent off and then conceded a try to trail by one point. However, they responded well, Kris Ford going in under the posts for a try he converted himself.

Nomads reduced the lead to three points with a penalty but Chris Dickens touched down in the corner to make the game safe, with Ford adding the extras.

Aldermaston were made to pay for a poor first-half performance as they lost 39-5 at home to Harwell in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship.

The hosts were very much second best before the break and trailed 34-5 at half-time, Aarron Webber getting their only try. Strong words were spoken at half-time and Aldermaston improved, Harwell adding just one more try in the second period.

Kingsclere lost more ground at the bottom of the table, being deducted five points after conceding their trip to leaders Abingdon. They now have -4 points and are adrift at the bottom, while Aldermaston sit third ahead of a Berkshire Plate trip to higher league Thatcham on Saturday.

Overton are five points adrift at the bottom of Hampshire One after suffering another defeat.

The Laverstoke Park side went down 17-3 away at fellow strugglers Southampton, extending their winless run at the start of the season to eight games.
