CHINEHAM RFC's fine start to the season came to an abrupt end as they were brushed aside by Hampshire Two leaders Petersfield.
The visitors got off to a great start, taking a 7-0 lead as Kris Ford crashed over the line and converted his own score, but Petersfield hit back with five unanswered tries to run out 29-7 winners.
Despite the defeat, Chineham remain fifth in the table and they will be confident of getting back to winning ways on Saturday, as they host bottom side Alresford.
Overton are enduring something of a baptism of fire after winning promotion to Hampshire One. They lost 53-8 at home to Farnborough last time out and have failed to pick up any league points from their first three games. Next up is a trip to high-flying Solent University.
