Brave Basingstoke suffer heartbreak in Sussex

BASINGSTOKE RFC suffered a dramatic 35-28 defeat away at London One South promotion rivals Chichester on Saturday.

The hosts led 14-0 after just four minutes and 24-6 early in the second half but tries from Adam Davies, Karl Buttle and Will Ford saw 'Stoke come back to lead 28-27 going into stoppage time.

However, there was to be one final twist as Chichester ran in a try and kicked a penalty in the added time to win the game.
