BASINGSTOKE progressed to the final of the Hampshire Cup with a 24-0 win over Havant at Down Grange.
Saturday’s National Three London fixture doubled up as a Hampshire Cup semi-final and ’Stoke prevailed thanks to a fine second half display.
The game was scoreless at half-time but Basingstoke were outstanding after the break, with a Sam Harding and Ashley Paterson crossing the line to complement a penalty-try and Mike Goodall kicking nine points.
