BASINGSTOKE RFC will wrap up 2015 with a visit from Old Reigatians to Down Grange for their London Two South West clash.

The visitors to Hampshire from Reigate have yet to win on their travels this season losing all four times and have lost their last two games against London Cornish and Andover.

A big crowd is expected at Down Grange to cheer Stoke on as they look to snap their winless start to the season and erase from the memory their 85-7 loss at the hands of London Exiles at Richmond.

Fraser Parris was the side's try scorer as an injury hit team suffered their biggest defeat of the campaign so far.

Looking back on the game captain Robbie Northcote said: "Experiencing a losing streak as we currently are it’s no surprise to anyone that there's a lack of confidence within the team.

"However there are positives to take from the game as Will Joyce and David Byett broke the gain line on a few occasions and it was good to see Guy Pope back in a Basingstoke jersey.

"Glen Serafica had another good game and set up Fraser Parris for a well-deserved score late in the second half."

Northcote added: "Looking ahead, the future for Basingstoke RFC is really promising. There’s a great bunch of academy lads that over the next few seasons will definitely be making their mark on the club as well as a solid core of senior players who will use this season as a massive learning experience and will bounce back stronger and better.

"I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend for our final home game before Christmas."
