LONDON Irish went top of their European Challenge Cup group after an excellent 38-6 victory over vining Edinburgh at the Madejski Stadium.

The home side were soon ahead in the contest as winger Andrew Fenby went over twice.

Alex Lewington was the next to score and Johnny Williams secured the bonus point try with his fifth try in four games.

This gave Irish a lead of 26-6 at the interval, with all Edinburgh's points coming from the boot of Greig Tinks.

Affter the break, the Exiles ran in two more tries as Fenby completed his hat-trick and Aseli Tikoirotuma also went over.

Irish, will hope to complete a quick double over Edinburgh when these sides meet in the Scottish capital on Friday evening (7.30pm).
