CHINEHAM Lions RFC claimed their first win in Hampshire One at the third time of asking.
The Lions, who were promoted at the end of last season, lost their first two games at the higher level but won 42-19 at Petersfield to move up to seventh in the table.
Petersfield took an early lead, but Chineham responded with a try from Jack Douglas and never looked back.
Kris Ford broke through several tackles to cross the line and put the visitors ahead, with Sam Goodall and Keegan Wicks also scoring to make it 25-7 at half-time.
Matt Lingham touched down early in the second half, with Ford going on to complete his hat-trick but scoring two more tries.
Overton also picked up their first victory of the season, winning 61-5 away at local rivals Kingsclere to move up to eighth in the Hampshire Two table. Kingsclere are bottom after losing their first four outings.
A try from Pete Rosier was enough to maintain Tadley Tigers' 100 per cent record in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier. The second row's first-half effort proved to be the only score of the match as Tadley beat visiting Crowthorne 7-0.
Aldermaston are bottom of the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship after losing 68-15 away at Didcot.
All five teams are without a game this weekend.
