LONDON Irish lost their opening pre-season friendly game 21-15 to Munster at Cork on Friday night.
A brace of Andrew Conway tries converted by Bill Johnston either side of a Theo Brophy-Clewes penalty gave Munster a 14-3 lead.
Their advantage was extended further when Francis Saili went over and Ian Keatley kicked the extras.
The Exiles hit back late on with both Christian Lewiss-Pratt and Alex Lewington scoring tries, the last one being converted by Brendan Mc Kibbin.
London Irish are next in action on September 25 away at Harlequins.
