TADLEY rugby stars Abbie Parsons and Devon Holt brought the curtain down on a hugely successful season by helping the University of Gloucestershire to national sevens glory.
The pair starred for England Under-20s in March and were also members of their university's British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) 15-a-side national championship-winning team.
They travelled to West Park, in Leeds, for the BUCS sevens championship, making it a clean sweep by beating the University of Northumbria 17-7 in the final.
Gloucestershire recorded a narrow 15-14 win over Cardiff Metropolitan University in their opening game on the way to topping their pool.
They beat University of Bath in the last eight and University of Edinburgh in the semi-finals before overcoming the University of Northumbria in the final with a dominant display.
