DEVON Holt from Tadley scored England under-20s only try in their narrow 10-5 defeat to France at Esher on Saturday.
Holt along with captain prop Abbie Parsons started their careers at Aldermaston RFC and this was an excellent result for the home side after they lost 25-0 to the French only last month.
England led 5-0 at half-time after winger Holt outpaced the visiting defence to score the only try of the opening 40 minutes.
France won the game thanks to two tries after the break from Justine Vergnaud and Emilie Mathieu.
