ALDERMASTON moved off the bottom of the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship with a 20-15 victory away at Faringdon on Saturday.

There were no points scored during the first half, but Aldermaston took the lead with a try from Luke Lambden, which Jack Parsons converted to put them 7-0 in front.

Elliot Lowe then scythed his way through several challenges to score a second try for Aldermaston, which Parsons again converted.

Faringdon reduced the deficit to seven points with a converted try of their own, but two Parsons penalties had Aldermaston 20-7 ahead. The hosts staged a late rally, scoring a try and a penalty, but Aldermaston held on to win by five points.

The result saw Aldermaston move above Faringdon at the bottom of the table, but they are without a game this weekend.

Tadley Tigers need to take maximum points from their three remaining games to have any chance of staying in London Two South West.

Tadley welcomed leaders Tottonians to Red Lane on Saturday and made a good start, scoring a penalty and a converted try to lead 10-0 early on.

However, Tottonians soon took control. They led 32-10 at half-time and while Tadley scored two tries in the second half, Tottonians added 24 more points to win the game 56-22.

The result saw Tadley slip to the foot of the table, 15 points from the safety with three games to go. They are without a game this weekend.

Chineham Lions claimed a comfortable 43-0 win from their trip to local rivals Overton to strengthen their grip on second place in the Hampshire Two table. Overton sit seventh.

Kingsclere lost 39-0 at Fawley and remain ninth. All three teams are without a game this weekend.
