LONDON Irish picked up a well deserved losing bonus point as they lost 15-9 to Premiership leaders Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens on Friday night.
The home side took the lead thanks a try from Ken Pisi, which Stephen Myler converted.
The Exiles reduced the lead to 7-3 by half-time after Shane Geraghty kicked over a penalty.
After the break, the Saints added another try from Sam Dickinson, before Geraghty kicked another penalty for the visitors.
The sides then swapped penalties from Myler and Geraghty to complete the scoring.
Irish are next in action a week today, when they face high flying Leicester at the Madejski Stadium in another Premiership clash (kick-off 2pm).
