KINGSCLERE’S Tom Croft had a big hand in England’s final try as they beat Italy 47-17 at Twickenham in the Six Nations.

Croft, a replacement in the game, came on for James Haskell after 63 minutes and won the line-out which led to the home side’s last try of the game scored by Nick Easter.

This added to other tries scored by Jonathan Joseph (2), Billy Vunipola, Ben Youngs and Danny Cipriani. George Ford also added 15 points with the boot.

Italy’s 17 points came from double try scorer Luca Morisi and Sergio Parisse which gave the visitors an early 5-0 lead.

England with two wins under their belts travel to also unbeaten Ireland for their next game on Sunday March 1 (kick-off 3pm).
