CHINEHAM Lions sit second in the Hampshire Two table after beating bottom side Nomads at Castle Field on Saturday.
The 47-7 victory leaves Chineham seven points behind unbeaten leaders Locks Heath Pumas, who they travel to play this weekend.
Overton also won, beating visiting Fawley 15-5 to move up to sixth. They travel to eighth-placed Alresford on Saturday.
Kingsclere’s woes continued as they lost 80-0 away at Southampton. Only Nomads are below Kingsclere, who host seventh-placed Aldershot and Fleet at the Fieldgate Centre this weekend.
Tadley Tigers claimed a 6-6 draw from their trip to Weybridge Vandals. They host third-placed London Cornish on Saturday.
Aldermaston are due to host Berkshire Shire Hall at the weekend.
