LONDON Irish surrendered their 100 per cent record, in the European Challenge Cup as they lost 24-14 at Cardiff Blues.
In a tight first-half, the Exiles took the lead from a Geoff Cross try, which was converted by Shane Geraghty.
The Blues replied from Richard Smith and Gareth Anscombe kicked over the extras.
After the break, the home side dominated and took the lead as Anscombe kicked a penalty.
Lloyd Williams then went over after 63 minutes, which Anscombe converted.
Kristian Dacey added a third Cardiff try and Anscombe completed a perfect record for the day with another conversion.
Irish have the chance for quick revenge in the same competition on Saturday (kick-off 3pm), when Cardiff are the visitors to the Madejski Stadum.
