BASINGSTOKE RFC head coach Will Croker wants his side to build on their victory over Cobham when they travel to unbeaten Chobham this Saturday.

Croker said: “We have watched the game back and I was very pleased with what I saw from the game against Cobham. The players certainly learnt from their mistakes after the loss at Guildford.

“Our backs were breaking through and our forwards played with good intensity.”

Croker said: “We were playing a well-coached side and were the better team for most of the game.

“We know nothing about Chobham, other than they have won all three games so far.

“However, they only beat Sutton and Epsom by eight points and the week before Sutton lost to Cobham by a point, so I think we could be very evenly matched.”

Once again, Croker will have to shuffle his line-up as the hat-trick try-scoring hero against Cobham, Gavin Dampies, is unavailable. Ollie John will also miss the trip to Surrey.

Into the squad comes Jamie Folan and Chris Gyatt, while Ryan Trevaskis will move from the bench into the starting 15 to face Chobham.
