LONDON Irish tasted defeat for the first time in 2014, as they lost 22-15 to London Wasps, at Adams Park in a LV= Cup tie on Saturday afternoon.
Seven points from the boot of Wasps fly-half Joe Carlisle proved to be the different in the end, after the teams had shared six tries, but due to the conditions the Exiles were unable to convert any.
Sailosi Tagicakibau, Chris Hala’ufia and Jamie Hagan crossed over for Irish, who also had Guy Armitage stretchered off in the second-half.
The Exiles are in LV= Cup action again on Saturday, when Scarlets are the visitors to the Madejski Stadium (kick-off 4pm).
