Andover Archers held their annual Saxon shoot at their grounds at Foxcotte Park which carried UK national record status and attracted many of Hampshire's county archers.
In all 131 archers took part in the event representing many of the county's clubs in the southern region of England. Archers both young and old took part, including many of the Andover junior members, some of whom only completed their beginner's course six months ago.
The weather smiled most of the day except for a bit of light rain first thing, but this was not enough to dampen the spirit of the archers. The whole event was a great success, and tournament organiser Paul Flippance thanked Phil Collins, from Eclipse Archery for sponsoring the day and those behind the scenes who helped make it another very successive and enjoyable event.
