BUDDING young cricketers are urged to roll up their sleeves and join in this summer.

Around 40 children will take part in Trojan Cricket Club’s summer camp as part of Join In’s summer of sport at the Eastleigh club.

Join In is an organisation funded by the Big Lottery Fund, government grants and by sponsors BT and Lloyds TSB.

The event, one of the first in Hampshire to be held as part of 'Join In 2013', will allow the county’s youngsters to give cricket a spin.

Last year, 300,000 people took part in the inaugural Join In, and more than 10,000 events have been registered for this summer’s campaign, with over 500,000 participants expected across the UK.
