Katich suffers Big Bash defeat
Hampshire's Simon Katich had to settle for a Big Bash runners-up medal after the Perth Scorchers lost today's final.
Katich made 12 from seven balls as Perth were restricted to 156-5 against a Sydney Sixers attack for whom Brett Lee took 2-21.
Sydney left out former Hampshire batsman Michael Lumb but still won by seven wickets, reaching their target with more than an over to spare.
Both sides qualify for this year's T20 Champions league.
