James Vince captained the South to a ten-wicket win against the North in Dubai - with the help of two wickets apiece for Hampshire teammates Mason Crane and Liam Dawson.

Slow left-armer Dawson (10-0-29-2) was the only bowler to finish his allocation after seamers Tom Curran (3-19) and Toby Roland-Jones (2-23) reduced the North, who had won the toss, to 92-5.

Leg-spinner Crane (9.3-0-72-2) took the last wicket, having trapped opener Sam Hain (33), as the North were bowled out for 202 in 43.3 overs.

Both Hampshire spinners were hit for six by Bresnan, who made a run-a-ball 40 before he was bowled by Dawson, whose spell began in the 24th over.

Dawson also ran out Bresnan's Yorkshire teammate Jack Leaning.

The South won with 16.3 overs to spare thanks to an unbroken stand of 205 between Daniel Bell-Drummond (92*) and Dawid Malan (109*).

The three-match 50-over series continues on Sunday and concludes on Tuesday.
