HAMPSHIRE loan signing Gavin Griffiths will make his debut in tomorrow night’s Natwest T20 Blast game against Glamorgan at The Ageas Bowl.

The Lancashire seamer, who made his T20 debut against Hampshire in last year’s semi-final at Edgbaston, has been playing in the Second Eleven Championship match against Surrey at The Ageas Bowl this week.

And tomorrow night he will get the chance to show what he can do in the first team.

Griffiths began his T20 career with a maiden against James Vince before finishing with 0-21 from three overs as Lancashire won last year’s semi-final by six wickets with more than an over to spare.

He then took 2-23, including the scalp of Hampshire teammate Shahid Afridi, as Lancashire beat Northants the final.

But the 22 year-old right-armer has only bowled one delivery in Lancashire’s first team since.

Now, after taking 2-46 and 1-24 against Surrey II, he is set to play in the back-to-back T20 games against Glamorgan and Sussex at Hove.

Jake Goodwin made 117 as Hampshire II made 412 in reply to Surrey’s 199-9, before the visitors closed the day on 104-2 in their second innings.
