HAMPSHIRE are targeting a second limited-overs double in four years as they prepare for the biggest games of their season.

James Vince’s side take on Gloucestershire at Bristol in the Royal London One-Day Cup quarter-finals tomorrow, before heading to Edgbaston for their sixth T20 semi-final is as many years.

Vince believes Hampshire can repeat their success of 2012, when the county won the Friends Life t20 title at Cardiff before triumphing at Lord’s in the final of the Clydesdale Bank 40.

He said: “To win two trophies in a year was a great effort and we’ve played some great cricket to get into a position where we can do that again this year.

“We’ve done the hard work getting there.

“We just need an extra push now to hopefully win at least one trophy if not two.”

Vince, who has been named in England’s squad for next Monday’s Twenty20 international against Australia at Cardiff, said: “We haven’t won the T20 in the last couple of years so, as we do every year, we’ll be going into every game looking to win every competition.

“Finals Day and the Lord’s final are both great occasions but we’ll focus on the quarter-final before looking ahead to Edgbaston.”

Tomorrow’s quarter-final starts at 10.30am and is sure to be affected by the weather to some extent.

But Vince said: “I think the forecast’s improved a little so hopefully Wednesday goes ahead as normal. It would be a shame if it gets disrupted.

“We’ll wait and see and play it by ear.”

Gloucestershire ensured a home tie by finishing second in their group and are targeting their first Lord’s final since 2004.

They are boosted by the availability of captain Michael Klinger after three weeks out with a hamstring strain.

Hampshire are at full strength. “We haven’t finalised the team, it’s quite a small ground but we’ll see what conditions are like in Bristol first,” added Vince.

“I’m confident whatever team we put out will be strong enough. We had a good four-day win there last year and hopefully we can get a similar result.

“They’re a tricky side. They don’t have many standout payers but give you a tougher test than you might expect so won’t be taken lightly.”

Adult tickets bought in advance are £15 or £20 on the gate. Entry is free for U18s (U16s must be accompanied by an adult).
