HAMPSHIRE will be up against England’s Moeen Ali in Friday’s T20 quarter-final against Worcestershire at New Road.

The off-spinning all-rounder played in six of Worcestershire’s 14 group games but none of their last six due to Ashes commitments.

He will effectively replace New Zealand batsman Colin Munro.

Worcestershire are also confident that Daryl Mitchell, Hampshire’s LV County Championship nemesis and their leading T20 run scorer, will be fit after injuring a hamstring against Surrey in the Royal London One-Day Cup last week.

“He has significantly improved since The Oval, we’re very optimistic we can get him right,” said director of cricket, Steve Rhodes.
