Hampshire batsman Owais Shah has been repimanded by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
The ECB’s Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) has penalised Shah, who was reported by umpires Mark Benson, Martin Saggers and Michael Gough during Hampshire’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Middlesex last Thursday for a Level One breach of the code (using language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or making an obscene gesture).
The penalty will remain on the T20 specialist's record for two years. The accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will result in an automatic suspension.
