Skipper Paul Fudio wants to make sure Eastleigh continues to be one of the toughest grounds to travel to.

But the skipper knows every side in the highly competitive London 3SW League are capable of shocks and he does not want a repeat of the home defeat to Old Mid-Whitgiftian in October– Eastleigh’s only loss of the season.

The Bishopstoke Road club has a four-point lead over former top side Old Tiffinians after defeating them last month.

Eastleigh host Old Tonbridgians tomorrow who are struggling to stay with the mid-table clubs. However they showed how dangerous they can be when they smashed Ellingham & Ringwood 65-24 in their last league game.

Fudio said: “There is not one team in this league that we assume we are better than. But we are confident and despite losing the one at home we want to make home a fortress for our fans.

“We know Tonbridgians have a big pack and we are looking to move them about a bit and tire them.”

Apart from hooker Paul Taylor, who is injured, Eastleigh have a full squad to choose from.

Second-from-bottom Trojans host second-from-top Old Tiffinians at Stoneham Park while Andover, who have steadily moved up to third, head for Ellingham & Ringwood.

New Milton can leapfrog Purley John Fisher who they take on at Ashley Rec.
