James Vince was out cheaply in both innings as England Lions drew the opening game of their tour of Sri Lanka.
Batting at No 5, the Hampshire star was twice dismissed for four as the Lions made 201 and 383 against Sri Lanka A Emerging Players.
Varun Chopra (21 & 0) and Jonny Bairstow (32 & 45) were the only others in the top six not to pass fifty.
Vince was used as a first-change bowler in the second innings, bowling five wicketless overs for 16, before their hosts closed on 192-5, having needed 409 to win.
The Lions play another game against Sri Lanka A’s Emerging Players in Colombo on Thursday.
