Neil McKenzie was outdone by former Hampshire teammate Michael Lumb as the Sydney Sixers won the Champions League T20 final by TEN wickets.

Hampshire batsman McKenzie was out for a four-ball duck as the Highveld Lions were bowled out for 121 at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

Lumb was unstoppable in reply, hitting an unbeaten 82 in the city of his birth as Sydney reached their target with 45 balls to spare.

The Notts batsman, who played for Hampshire from 2007-11, faced just 42 balls and hit five sixes while blitzing his highest score in the shortest format for two-and-a-half years.

Lumb’s opening partner, Brad Haddin, contributed a 33-ball 37 to the unbroken 124-run partnership.
