DAVID Ross is celebrating a hat-trick after becoming the first player in history to win three county titles on a single day for Gerrards Cross Bowls Club.
Ross won the Bucks Fours, Triples and the Singles crowns and will now head to Worthing in Sussex next month to fight for national honours at the All England Championships.
Ross launched his county charge in the fours, joining up with Richard Reid, John McGuiness and Peter McGuiness to beat Chesham 22-21 after being 21-17.
The triples were more straightforward with Bletchley going down 20-8 to Ross, Reid and John McGuiness, before Ross completed a superb day by beating Gerrards Cross team-mate Neil Farnish 21-17 in the singles, coming from 17-11 down on this occasion.
