SOUTHAMPTON have sent two scouts to Farnborough this afternoon to check out Wycombe wonderkid Matt Phillips.
The Bucks Free Press revealed yesterday that League One favourites Saints had joined Leeds United, Preston and Watford in showing their interest in the 19-year-old winger.
They turned up double-handed at Farnborough's Cherrywood Road HQ to keep tabs on England U19 international Phillips who will make his first start for the Blues since returning from England U19 duty in this afternoon's friendly against Boro.
