ANDOVER New Street can clinch promotion to the Wessex League Premier Division, if they can pick up a point at Totton and Eling tomorrow night.

They was after they won their last two games 2-1 against Folland Sports on Thursday and followed this up with a 4-1 victory at Verwood at the weekend.

The trip to the New Forest proved to be very fruitful as New Street led 2-0 after 10 minutes.

Luke Neller got the first with a 30 yard free-kick and then Jazz Beavis got the other as he chipped the goalkeeper.

On the hour mark, New Street made the points safe as Gunner Yates scored,

The home side did pull as goal back, but Shane Lock made sure of the victory.

Last Thursday, New Street found themselves a goal down and it looked like the visitors were going to escape with a famous win.

However, the home side had other ideas and Zach Neve netted an equaliser after good work by Beavis and Lock.

Neve then netted his second to chalk up New Street's sixth league win on the trot.

Manager John Smith said: "We still want to win the league, but to do this we will have to win our last three games to stand any chance. I felt against Verwood we were in control from start to finish. They are a young side and in a few years they will be a force in this league. Against Follard it looked like it was going to be a frustrating night, as we had some many chances. but their keeper kept us out until the end."

After Tuesday night, New Street are at home to AFC Stoneham on Saturday and then on Monday evening Whitchurch are the visitors.
