WHITCHURCH United will be hoping to go one better tonight and clinch victory against local rivals Andover, after they were denied a win in the 99th minute by Hordean on Saturday.

The relegation threatened Jam Boys looked set for a vital three points at Longmeadow when debutante Luke Walker put the Jam Boys 2-1 up in the fourth minute of injury time.

It was the striker's second goal of the game, after he had equalised for the hosts midway through the second half.

But his 94th minute finish did not prove to be the winner for Whitchurch.

Another five minutes of injury time was played and Horndean took full advantage, slotting home in the 99th minute to steal a point.

The Jam Boys will be hoping for better luck when they play a crunch league fixture against local rivals Andover Town tonight.

A win could push Whitchurch away from the Wessex Premier League's relegation zone and into 19th place.

However the face an improved Andover side, who recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Bashley on Saturday.

Tonight's game will kick-off at 7.45pm.
