ANDOVER Cricket Club returned to winning ways on Saturday with a dominant home win over Test Valley rivals OTs and Romsey.

The London Road side were looking to get their title bid back on track after a disappointing defeat to current league leaders Sarisbury in the previous round of fixtures.

They did so in style, beating their borough rivals by 73 runs to maintain pressure on the Southern Premier League Division One title contenders.

James O'Gorman top scored for the Nordlock sponsored side with an impressive knock of 85.

Will Arnold (61*) and Glyn Treagus (42) also impressed with the bat on Saturday as Andover finished their innings on 258-6.

Meanwhile in-form bowler Babu Veetill continued his current purple patch with a five wicket haul to help Andover tear through Romsey's batting order.

Iain Woodall (43) and Harry Tulk (38) showed some resistance but Romsey were eventually bowled out for 185 runs.

Andover travel to second place Hook and Newnham Basics on Saturday in what will be a crucial match for both sides.
