ANDOVER Town completed their fifth consecutive league victory with a comfortable 3-0 away win over Lymington.

Neither team found the net in a tense opening 45 minutes.

But second half goals from Sammy Pekun, Lewis Benson and Charlie Gunson sealed the victory for Town, who also extended their unbeaten run to 15 league games with the win.

Neil Benson continued to shuffle his side with surprise return for striker Suhael Odeh, while Alex Dockree filled the holding midfield berth in the absence of Chris Onoufriou.

Former Town midfielder Jordan O’Donnell was on the opposition team sheet, making his debut for Lymington on Saturday.

Both teams struggled to make their mark in the opening quarter of an hour.

The home side created the first meaningful chance, forcing a smart save from Jamie Bray after a corner deflected towards goal.

Town began to find their passing game with Lewis Benson, Luke Walker and Charlie Gunson linking up well.

From one such move the ball was worked out to the right-hand side where a twisting run from Pekun set up Benson.

However the midfielder fired just wide from the edge of the area as both teams went into half time goalless.

Town fired out of the blocks after the break and quickly took the lead.

Pekun worked himself free on the edge of the area and his seemingly unthreatening shot squirmed under goalkeeper Stuart Williamson to put Town 1-0 up.

Gunson, making his club record 30th consecutive appearance for Town, doubled their lead ten minutes later.

The forward advanced down the left hand side, beating several defenders before driving into the box and firing into the top corner.

Shortly after Adam Grange, back from England Schoolboy duty, replaced Pekun while there was a welcome return for Matt Scott who replaced Odeh.

Town continued to hold the advantage before securing their victory with eight minutes remaining.

Gunson picked out Benson with a free kick and the midfielder stooped to head Town's third and final goal of the day.

With their rivals all winning Town retained their third place spot, one point behind second placed Blackfield and Langley.

Meanwhile Salisbury F.C achieved the inevitable on Thursday night as they were officially crowned Wessex Premier League Champions after a 3-0 win over Hordean.

Despite this Town are still in with a chance of gaining possible promotion to the Southern League.

They continue their promotion push with a game against Alresford Town at the Portway on Tuesday night before final games against Sholing, Team Solent and Fareham in the remaining week's of the season.
