BOB Cradduck retained his Alan Potter Memorial Cup title as Andover Golfing Society visited Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club.

Last year’s winner was on form again at the memorial stableford competition – the first of Andover Golfing Society’s 2016 annual programme.

Playing on the Cathedral Course, Cradduck scored a 36 on the day, beating third placed Robin Coupland by three points and runner up Graham Davey who finished the day on 34 points.

Davey recorded a nearest to the pin win on the 8th hole par three, where only two players managed to hit the green.

Society Captain, Nick HopsonHill, presented the trophy to Cradduck following his win.

Hopson-Hill said: “He was the only one who played to his handicap and so was the most deserving on the day.

The Society’s next meeting is Wednesday 13 April at Weybrook Park.

New members are always welcome. Full details of the 2016 programme can be found on the Society’s website: andovergolfingsociety.co.uk
