Losing the toss proved a blessing as the hosts asked Bourne to bat first on what looked like an excellent track.
So it transpired as the Bourne innings was built around two excellent partnerships. Phil Fish (41) and Tris Hutchins (49) opened up with 78 off the first 16 overs and a third wicket stand of 120 off 16 from in-form pair Paul Vickerman (60) and Rob King (60) tightened the visitors early grip.
A slew of wickets followed in search of quick runs but Bourne were able to post a competitive 244-7.
Sherfield responded well as Bourne bowled & fielded sloppily allowing the hosts to reach 108 without loss by drinks.
Skipper Steve Wood struggled to find the right bowling combination but the introduction of Chris Randall (3-36) effectively changed the game.
Bowling in tandem with Wood (2-51), the pair squeezed the run rate & picked up vital wickets leaving Sherfield to bat out for points, finishing on 205-6.
